New Mexico ADA Parking Contractors

It depends on what the upgrade involves. Striping contractors handle stall markings, symbols, access aisles, and signage. Paving contractors handle slope correction and failed pavement, since slope is built into the pavement and cannot be corrected with paint. Concrete contractors handle curb ramps, walkways, and changes in level. Larger projects often involve more than one trade plus an accessibility professional to set the scope. Browse the listings on this page to find contractors in your area, or start with a documented list of conditions so you can identify which trade you actually need.

There is no single ADA parking trade. The work is performed by striping, paving, concrete, and sign contractors depending on the condition being corrected, and some companies cover several of these scopes. Determining what the work should be, as distinct from performing it, is generally handled by a CASp inspector, an accessibility consultant, or a design professional rather than by the contractor.

A contractor can install accessible elements to a given specification, but confirming legal ADA compliance often benefits from an independent accessibility review separate from the contractor performing the physical work.

Striping, paving, and concrete contractors typically perform the physical work, while a CASp inspector or accessibility consultant may be needed to verify compliance, particularly for larger or higher-risk properties.

Accessible stalls and access aisles have running and cross slope limits. Excess slope can make a stall non-compliant even if striping and signage are otherwise correct.

Confirm the required accessible stall count for the total parking count, van-accessible stall and access aisle width, signage height and placement, and slope, before restriping begins.
