Sponsorships
Advertise on The Pavement Directory
The people reading these pages are scoping pavement work — a parking lot that needs sealcoating, a lot layout that has to meet ADA, a budget number due before a board meeting. A sponsorship puts your company beside that, in one clearly labeled spot, on the pages and in the markets you choose.
Where the placements are
Every placement sits in the page sidebar, below the reader's own next steps. None of them sit inside the contractor listings, and none sit above the fold — a page that reads as an ad board stops being useful to the people whose attention you are buying.
City pages
Owners, property managers, and facility teams who have already narrowed to one town and are deciding who to call.
- Position
- Sidebar of a city directory page, and of each city + service page under it
- Can be bought as
- One city, or a whole state's cities. Can be limited to a single service.
- Example page
- /california/sacramento/
State pages
Multi-site owners and regional property managers scoping work across a state, plus anyone starting a search wider than one city.
- Position
- Sidebar of a state directory page, and of each statewide service page
- Can be bought as
- One state. Can be limited to a single service.
- Example page
- /texas/
Calculators
People mid-estimate — measuring a lot, checking tonnage, or building a budget number before they request quotes. Heavily used by contractors as well.
- Position
- Sidebar of a pavement calculator
- Can be bought as
- One calculator, or every calculator tied to a service.
- Example page
- /tools/asphalt-calculator/
Guides and cost guides
Readers researching a scope of work before they have picked anyone — the earliest point in the decision.
- Position
- Sidebar of a guide or cost guide article
- Can be bought as
- Guides related to one service, or all of them.
- Example page
- /cost-guides/
How sponsorships work here
- One sponsor holds a spot at a time. Placements are not rotated or auctioned per pageview, so you know exactly which pages you are on.
- Campaigns run for a set date range and end on their own — no auto-renewal you have to cancel.
- Every paid placement is labeled "Sponsored by <your company>" where a reader can see it, and links carry rel="sponsored".
- Sponsorship is separate from directory listings and from search ranking. It buys a labeled box, not a better position in the results.
- We do not sell placements inside the listing results themselves, or on nationwide service pages.
Asking about a specific spot
If you clicked through from a box on a state, city, guide, or calculator page, send us that page's URL — it tells us exactly which placement you mean. Otherwise, tell us the cities or states you cover and the services you want to be next to, and we will come back with what is open and what those pages get for traffic.
Email hello@thepavementdirectory.com, call or text (925) 302-5253, or use the contact form.
What sponsorship does not buy: Paid placement affects visibility within The Pavement Directory but does not represent endorsement, certification, verification of workmanship, or guarantee of contractor quality.
Advertising FAQs
What does a sponsorship cost?
Rates depend on the placement and how much traffic those specific pages get. Tell us the cities, states, or services you want and we will send current traffic numbers for those pages along with a price.
Can I sponsor only my own service area?
Yes. Placements can be bought down to a single city, or a single service within a city — for example sealcoating in one metro, and nothing else.
Does advertising move my listing higher in the directory?
No. Sponsorship buys a clearly labeled box in the page sidebar. Placement within the contractor results is a separate thing, handled through listing plans, and neither one is an endorsement of a contractor's work.
Who can advertise?
Pavement contractors, material suppliers, equipment dealers, and service providers whose work is relevant to the people reading these pages. We turn down placements that would mislead a reader about who the directory is or what a listing means.
How is this different from a paid listing?
A listing is your company's profile in the directory, with your services, coverage, and contact details. A sponsorship is advertising space on pages you do not own. Most contractors start with a listing, since it is what shows up in the results people are searching.
For contractors
Want your company in the results, not just beside them?
A directory listing is how property managers and owners find you when they search by service and location. Most contractors start there before they buy a sponsorship.
