- The window is short and books out early, particularly outside Sioux Falls and Rapid City

- Intense summer storms can interrupt work and damage exposed subgrade
Inspect for: Walk truck entrances, scale approaches, and turning areas in the heat of the day, when rutting and shoving are visible rather than inferred.
