These are the real result cards the directory renders, shown here with an example company. Same business, same services, same city — the only difference between them is the plan.
On Basic (free, unclaimed)Example — not a real company
An example listing. This company does not exist — it is here to show how a profile is presented on each plan, using the same components the directory renders for real listings.

Paid listings may include priority placement, not an endorsement.
The amber treatment and plan badge, priority placement in city, state, and category results, and quote requests delivered straight to the company.
What Sponsored adds over Featured
Every difference between the two plans, and what each one actually means. Nothing here is written by hand — it is read from the same source as the comparison table, so it cannot describe a limit the product no longer has.
Directory categories you can carry
From Up to 10up to Up to 14
Each category places your listing on that category's landing page, plus the city and state pages beneath it.
Cities beyond your home city
From 5up to 8
Factual coverage, not keyword reach — add only the cities you genuinely work in. Your home city is always included and never counts against the cap.
Total cities your listing appears in
From 6up to 9
Home city plus the served cities your plan allows.
Of those, how many you are promoted in
From 2up to 3
Declaring a city puts you on its page. Being promoted in it puts you at the top, in the labelled sponsored strip. The two numbers are different on purpose — see Placement.
Project photos published
From Up to 40up to Up to 60
Shown as a gallery on your profile and on any local city pages you have.
Cities you are promoted in
From 2 — home city plus 1 you chooseup to 3 — home city plus 2 you choose
Promoted means two things together: a card in the labelled sponsored strip at the top of that city's page, and first position in its results. Your home city is always one of them and never counts against the total. Everywhere else you serve, you still appear — you just rank on your merits like everyone else.
Position in directory results
From Top of 2 citiesup to Top of 3 cities
Inside a city you are promoted in, you sort above the standard roster. Outside it, and on state and category pages, rosters sort by tier, then by claimed, reviewed, and alphabetical order.
Featured strip on category landing pages
From Yesup to Yes — first card
Up to three listings appear in a labelled strip above the standard roster, on page one only. Page two onward stays purely organic. Sponsored takes the first card.
Sponsored row on state pages and the homepage
From Not includedup to Included
A labelled sponsor placement above the roster on your state's page and in the rotating row on the homepage — the two surfaces above the city level, which no other tier appears on.
Written company spotlight
From Not includedup to Yes — one on signup
One company profile, written and published as a resource page on the directory and linked to your listing, when your subscription starts.
Monthly price
From $99/monthup to $149/month
Billed monthly, cancel any time before renewal.
Annual price
From $990/yearup to $1,490/year
Two months' worth cheaper than paying monthly across a year.

Questions about Sponsored
How is Sponsored different from Featured?
Room, mostly. Sponsored includes everything Featured does and then raises the caps: more service categories, more served cities, and a larger project gallery. It also sits at the top of the paid order where more than one paid listing competes for the same page. If your service area and portfolio fit comfortably inside Featured, Featured is the right plan and we would rather you stayed on it.
I have offices in several metros. Is Sponsored the right plan?
Not necessarily. The directory keeps one listing per office, because each city is a real place somebody searches from and the crew that turns up is the local branch. Several offices usually means several listings rather than one wide plan. Get in touch and we will quote the group directly rather than selling you a plan per office.
Upgrade to Sponsored
$149 per month, or $1,490/year. Billed through Stripe, and you can cancel any time from your dashboard before the next renewal. Cancelling reverts the listing to Basic — it is never unpublished.
Paid placement: Paid placement affects visibility within The Pavement Directory but does not represent endorsement, certification, verification of workmanship, or guarantee of contractor quality.
