Clark Hunt Construction, Inc. develops sites from its family-owned base at 2165 Logan Street in Clearwater, Florida, serving the Tampa Bay area. Its lineage runs back almost 50 years to George Hunt Inc., a general construction company whose son Warren C. Hunt worked with Publix on shopping centers across Florida and built projects such as Countryside Mall and Old Hyde Park Village. When George Hunt retired in 1981, Warren bought the underground utility division, became a certified general contractor, and refocused the business on complete site preparation.

Today the company handles the full pre-building scope: site clearing and demolition, earthwork and grading, building pads, retention ponds, water and waste lines, lift stations, recycling, and the paving of streets, sidewalks and curbing that finishes a site. It describes its strength as spotting site problems at the design stage and using critical-path scheduling to deliver to specification and budget.

The client list leans toward national retail and multifamily.
