Plant notes
The Santa Clara plant has produced asphalt since the 1940s and was acquired by Granite in 2008. Major upgrades completed from 2017-2019 added a new dryer, baghouse, RAP feeders, low-NOx burner, controls and other equipment, increasing production efficiency and recycled-content capability. Granite reports the facility was California's first asphalt plant to receive California Green Business certification. Granite Construction
